Gorgeous Hair Bows
Every mum loves to accessorize there little girl with beautiful and cute hair bows and I’m no exception. After dressing her in a gorgeous outfit I just can’t wait to add that hair accessory and I’m always reaching for a bow first.
So how did I come to be making hair bows ? I think it stems for the love of dressing up my daughter! It reminds me of when I was a little girl playing with dolls. I would put there beautiful dresses on and I would always add a hair bow to finish off there outfit.
Prints and Styles of hair bows
I guess this is why I have so many different patterns and colours and I am always looking for the latest fashions and trends to add to our shop. I started out just making very simple and plain colours hair bows like the grey, black, mustard, pink and red. Then added some floral prints like the savannah, pink blossom tallulah, cabbage rose and black and white roses.
We have also commissioned Western Australian graphic artists to design a print exclusively for us. We are so excited to have these unique and original prints in our range which included the cactus and succulents, flamingos and bird perch prints.
All three of our hair accessories could be considered hair bows. The first being the baby headband which is a small bow that is sewn onto an elastic. We also have a second headband which has the same size elastic however the bow is a lot bigger. Finally we have the top knot head wrap. This is one of our most popular head bows and is one piece of fabric that you tie around the head and make a bow at the front.
How I make my Hair Bows
If you have ever wondered how I make the bow headbands I start by cutting the fabrics into squares. From here I sew them into a bow shape. I then sew the elastic onto the bow. This means no harmful glue or toxins are used in the making of the hair bows. Only fabric, thread and needle are used in our handmade baby bows. The elastic I use is a very soft material that is easily stretched. We use the nude colour elastic as it is the most popular. As the elastic is very stretchy it doesn’t leave a mark on the skin. We use the same elastic in our baby headband as well as our standard headband.
For our packing we work on a bit of a minimalist style. Our headbands are normally packed with just a piece of cardboard with the full product details and instructions. We also normal pack our orders in tissue paper and gift wrap ready to hand over as a gift.
Age range of our Hair Bows
Although we say the headbands are for newborn babies to 2 years we are confident that they can be used in older girls. Our daughter is now 5 years old and she is still comfortably using all the styles of our hair accessories.
Hair bands included in our baby shower gifts
We love the baby headbands so much we have included them in all our our larger girl baby shower gift sets. Included in the girls gift sets are a bandana bib, bunny teething ring, burp cloths and a baby headband. We also offer a choice of three gift cards and all our gift sets come complete with complimentary gift wrapping. If you would like to swap out the baby hair bow for the hair bow please let us know.
Hair bows Safety
All our products are designed to be worn on a baby or little child. Therefore adult supervision is required when anyone is wearing one of our products or hair bows headband. We take safety very seriously and it is our top priority. We want your bub to look gorgeous but most of all we want them to be safe so please supervise while wearing our items at all times.
