Snap bibs are one of the most practical products a new baby can have.
Benefits of bibs with snaps
There main reasons to have snaps or push stud fasteners on bibs are;
- Keep in Place – Bibs with snaps are virtually impossible for the baby to remove. While Velcro fasteners get less “sticky” and start to come off easily.
- Signs of good quality – Brands that use higher-quality materials, like snaps instead of Velcro are higher quality. They will last longer which means you won’t need as many.
- Adjustable – Depending on the type of bib you buy, they should have multiple fastening points so they can be adjusted.
The Fastening System
We use the KAM fastening system on all our bibs. These are press stud fasteners that you push together two connect. They can be made from either plastic or metal and are safe and durable. They are available in a range of colours and sizes and are the preferred fasteners for all our bibs.
Types of Stud Fasteners Bibs
We use this attachment system on all our bibs. These include the following styles;
- Newborn – These are the smallest of our bibs and the fasteners are attached on the “Arm” of the bib. This is so it can be attached and taken off easily, making it an ideal bib for breastfeeding.
- Bandana – This bib is for heavy droolers and the two studs are placed on the back of the neck.
- Toddler – The toddler bib is the largest of our bibs and the like the bandana bib the two fasteners are on the back of the bibs.
Materials
The fasteners we use are a plastic KAM system. We make cotton bibs with the front being made from 100% cotton. And the backing is made from a cotton bamboo mix.
Age Range
The newborn style is suitable from birth to one year, while the bandana and large bibs are suitable from 3 months to 2 years.
Safety
When using our bibs make sure there is adult supervision and bibs should never be worn when sleeping.
